Artist Statement
My work is rooted in a fascination with myth, folklore, and the fragments of older stories that continue to echo through memory and imagination. I am drawn to images and symbols that feel inherited rather than remembered, as though they belong to a shared visual language that persists across time and culture.
Through painting, I explore the space where the present overlaps with an older symbolic world. Rather than illustrating specific myths, I work from their atmosphere and emotional resonance, and from the sense that stories continue to live within us long after their origins have been forgotten.
I am interested in the way images can carry meaning beyond words, inviting personal reflection while remaining open to multiple interpretations. Many of my paintings begin with a particular feeling, image, or question, and evolve into visual narratives that exist somewhere between memory, imagination, and dream.
My paintings are an attempt to remain in conversation with these traces and to create images that feel both familiar and elusive—images that suggest stories rather than explain them, and that invite viewers into a space of contemplation, recognition, and mystery.
