I am a painter whose work is rooted in myth, folklore, and childhood memory. The stories I grew up with, the ancestral ones and the ones I have invented, have become a personal mythology. I work in oil, building worlds that feel familiar and out of reach at the same time. A painting usually starts with a single image or feeling and grows from there. What interests me is taking old stories and weaving them into our present reality. My practice is an ongoing search for meaning in what’s been forgotten, and a way to find my way back to it.
